Each is characterised by excellence – pure and simple. We’ve been uniting discerning travellers and properties of distinction for years. Suffice to say, we think we’re rather good at fulfilling this sole mission: “to bring Africa’s finest spaces to the world”. Peter Dros   |   Owner

With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the travel industry, Peter is a seasoned sales and marketing professional known for his expertise in luxury hospitality. Most recently, he led Sales and Marketing at Cheetah Plains, driving growth and brand presence for the past three years. Before that, he spent six years as Sales and Marketing Director at Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing resort along the Garden Route. Peter’s journey in travel and tourism began at Mala Mala in 1997, where, equipped with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a National Diploma in Nature Conservation, he transitioned from Game Ranger and Camp Manager to Sales, dedicating 11 years to the iconic safari destination. His career also includes senior sales roles at Sanctuary Retreats/Abercrombie & Kent, a globally renowned luxury lodge brand, and Sense of Africa (formerly Tourvest), where he gained invaluable tour operating experience.

Michelle van der Westhuizen   |   Trade Relations

Michelle started her career in the hospitality industry in hotel operations before moving to the event site as a Professional Conference Organiser and Event Manager. This led into sales where she started as a Corporate and MICE Sales Executive at Arabella Hotel Holdings. Given the opportunity for promotion to sales manager for the leisure sector Michelle has never looked back.

Always up for the challenge Michelle has happily embraced various positions within the hospitality industry. From sales to revenue and reservations and then marketing Michelle has found her niche in sales.

Michelle has travelled the world working for international hotel brands namely Starwood and Taj Hotels and individually owned properties, Fairlawns Boutique Hotel, Fancourt and Cheetah Plains.

Gary Robson   |   Trade Relations

With over 18 years of experience in the hospitality and luxury travel industry, Gary has had the privilege of working with brands such as The Royal Portfolio, Delaire Graf, African Synergy and the Gorgeous George. His career began in client-facing roles and evolved into B2B sales, working directly with property and company owners in portfolio-based environments. In recent years, Gary’s focus has expanded to include brand activation’s, strategic marketing and alignment across a range of independently owned luxury properties. Most recently, Gary served as the Manager of Leisure and Development at Celestielle, a full-service luxury travel design company catering to high-net-worth clients across the U.S.

Emma Macdonald   |   Marketing & Events

Emma was born and raised in Johannesburg, attended high school in Durban, and went on to study at Stellenbosch University before completing a postgraduate degree at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in Johannesburg. With a deep appreciation for connection and community, Emma spent two years working at Club Med overseas, followed by an unforgettable backpacking journey across South America, Southeast Asia, the UK, and Europe. Now rooted in marketing and events, Emma is passionate about bringing people together, creating opportunities, and empowering others through impactful brand experiences.
